Only ONE MORE Player/Parent needed for Concession Help!

We have just ONE opening left for a Plymouth Tennis Team Player/Parent team to help with our concession sales at the Park on August 6th from 12-2. Thank YOU to all who have volunteered!  Please check the attached schedule to verify your date.

If you have not yet had a chance to consider this way by doing our part to raise funds to help the team improve the tennis facility , please take a look at your calendars and let me know as soon as possible. Thanks! The last date needed is August 6th, from 12-2.  We need a player and a parent, as the grille is part of our responsibility. We will be sharing this slot with another player/parent volunteer from the Plymouth boys’ team.

Summer Tennis Instruction at the Park

Coach Farmer is instructing 3 of the players from the team on Monday’s at 6:00 PM. Each of the players will miss some of the weeks due to other summer activities, giving another tennis player an oppurtunity to take the spot for that week. The cost is $15/Hour each week. If you’re interested in checking it out, look for openings in the schedule that you’re interested in, and then confirm with Coach Farmer so that he doesn’t get double-booked.  The 3 players are Molly Hudgins, Brita Swanson, and Kayla Griffey.  Check back or call Lisa Hudgins if you’re interested in filling an open spot for a lesson or two with that three-some and Coach Farmer.

If you have another Threesome and would like me to post your available openings, send me a note and I’ll post it for you.

Procedure to Turn in Tennis Pants

Some players know this and some don’t, so I decided to post it.  For those players that DID NOT purchase their tennis pants, the coaches have given you two ways to turn in your clean pants.  In both cases, please attach a note that clearly indicates your name and the date you turned them in.  You may drop them off at Mr. Kimball’s classroom or bring them to the Tennis Banquet.  Thank you.

Seeking Volunteers for Summer Concessions at the Park

The Girls and Boys Plymouth Tennis Teams have been asked to volunteer and work the Concession Booth this summer during two tournaments at the PCEP courts.  We, along with the Canton and Salem Tennis Teams, have a goal to raise enough money to buy more park benches to place around the courts.  Each two-hour block will have one parent and one player from each team – girls and boys.

This is a great opportunity for the PHS Girls Tennis Team to jump in and help generate funds for a great cause (a bench for your parents to relax and watch you play some good tennis!).  Please consider signing up now and show your PHS Team Spirit.

Tennis Banquet News from Mrs. Mitchell

The end of season banquet has been scheduled for Monday, June 2 at Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center, 8768 N. Territorial Rd, Plymouth, MI.  More information will be coming soon!

Conference Tournament Info

Our Varsity conference tournament will be held on Saturday, May 10.  Players should arrive by 7:30 am, with play scheduled to begin at 8:00 am.  If you are playing, see Coach McLaren or Coach Farmer to see your draw.

JV players are encouraged to come cheer on your teammates on Saturday.

Team Pasta Party (Players Only)

There will be a Team Pasta Party on Tuesday, May 13th, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  This “players-only” event is being hosted by Bob and Pam MacKenzie (Kylie and Annie’s parents) at their home.  The address is 46719 Darwood Court, Plymouth 48170. 

No one needs to bring anything, but an RSVP from each player by Friday, May 9th, would be very appreciated by the MacKenzie’s.  Please call 734.416.9812 or e-mail pcmackenzie@ameritech.net.  A flyer will be passed out at Monday’s match against Northville.
